HELPFUL HINTS
SEND INVITATIONS OUT
4 - 8 weeks prior to a wedding day, 4 weeks for other special
occasions; 12 weeks is probably best during the busy summer months when
guests may be vacationing or planning trips.
Allow
us anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to produce your invitations.
ORDER WEDDING or DESTINATION INVITATIONS as early as 18 weeks
before your big day!
SAVE THE DATE
cards can be sent out as soon as you set the date for your wedding.
This ensures that any important guests know well in advance when your
wedding will be and avoids the disappointment of them making other
arrangements.
RECEPTION INVITATIONS
are sent when there are additional guests invited to the reception or
can be included in each invitation, especially if it is held in a
location different from the marriage ceremony. They are normally sent
out at the same time as the invitations giving guests plenty of time to
make arrangements and also to avoid any confusion as to which part of
the celebration everyone is invited.
REPLY CARDS
(rsvp) are sent out with the invitations. They are supplied with their
own envelopes, which are stamped and addressed. This encourages the
guests to reply quickly.
CEREMONY PROGRAMS
are given out to guests before the ceremony by the ushers, or are
displayed artfully and prominently for guest to help themselves as they
enter. They state the order of the ceremony including entrance music,
hymns, prayers, marriage and benediction. Supply one for each guest and
extra for the clergy and choir. Programs make wonderful WEDDING FAVORS.
MENU CARDS
can be used for either a sit down meal or buffet. They let the guests
know what the food and drink arrangements are. Have one at each guest's
place or randomly place them around the tables to share. Menu cards can
also serve as a MOMENTO of the special event.
PLACE CARDS are used at the reception to indicate where each guest should sit.
THANK YOU NOTES
are sent after you return from honeymoon (or as soon as possible after
your event), to thank guests for joining you on your special day, and
for their gifts.
How Many To Order?
ONE PER COUPLE, ONE PER HOUSEHOLD should be fine. Be sure to list each person's name when addressing the invitations.
ORDER
A FEW EXTRA INVITATIONS to allow for any mistakes when addressing them
or to have enough to send to those one or two names who found their way
onto your guest list at the last minute. (NOTE: We always include at
least two extra mailing envelopes with your order at no additional
charge.)
The same rules apply for Save The Date Cards, Reply Cards and Thank You Cards.
ORDER ONE CEREMONY PROGRAM for each guest and extra for the clergy and choir.
MENUS can be printed for each guest or randomly placed around the tables to share.
